Zephaniah 3:17: "You are protected by the Mighty Lord Jesus Christ. You are victorious because of His Power. The Lord Jesus is glad and rejoices because of you, in His Love He has given you new life."

I am grateful that I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who protects and wins me, and gives me new life.

The Octave of Christmas and Other Celebrations in the Catholic Church Tradition in December, January, and February

Christmas is celebrated for eight days, from Christmas time to New Year's, and this festive period is called the Octave of Christmas. Octave means 8.

The Octave of Christmas is an eight-day period of celebration in the Catholic Church tradition to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ as one continuous feast. This celebration begins on December 25th and ends on January 1st.

The Catholic Church views the Mystery of Christ's Birth as so great that it cannot be celebrated on just one day. Therefore, each day of these eight days is celebrated with the same degree of glory as Christmas itself.

Octave of Christmas:

- December 25: Christmas Day and the Feast of the Birth of the Lord Jesus the Savior

- December 26: Feast of Saint Stephen, the First Martyr

- December 27: Feast of Saint John, Apostle and Gospel Writer

- December 28: Feast of the Holy Child, Martyr

- December 29 or the First Sunday after Christmas Day: Feast of the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary and Joseph)

- December 30-31: New Year Celebration

- January 1: Feast of Saint Mary, Mother of Lord

The Octave of Christmas reflects the Personality of Jesus Christ:

- Jesus is the Bringer of Joy to those who believe in Him

- Jesus is the Herald of Good News to those who hear Him

- Jesus is the Strongest Fortress for people who will be attacked by evil people in this world

- Jesus is the Almighty who blesses all families who believe in Him

Don't forget, at the New Year's Party, to always ask Lord through the intercession of Our Lady Mary to always bless us in our life journey in the new year. Don't forget to pray the Hail Mary. ✝️

Oktaf Natal dan Perayaan Lain Dalam Tradisi Gereja Katolik Pada Desember, Januari dan Februari

Natal dirayakan selama 8 hari, mulai dari masa Natal sampai Tahun Baru, dan masa perayaan ini dinamakan sebagai Oktaf Natal. Oktaf berarti 8.

Oktaf Natal adalah periode percayaan selama 8 hari dalam tradisi Gereja Katolik untuk memperingati Kelahiran Yesus Kristus sebagai satu hari raya besar yang berkelanjutan. Perayaan ini dimulai tepat pada tanggal 25 Desember dan berakhir pada tanggal 1 Januari.

Gereja Katolik memandang Misteri Kelahiran Kristus begitu besar sehingga tidak cukup dirayakan dalam satu hari saja. Oleh karena itu, setiap hari dalam delapan hari ini dirayakan dengan derajat kemuliaan yang sama seperti Hari Raya Natal itu sendiri.

Oktaf Natal:

- 25 Desember: Hari Raya Natal dan Hari Raya Kelahiran Tuhan Yesus Sang Juru Selamat

- 26 Desember: Pesta Santo Stefanus, Martir Pertama

- 27 Desember: Pesta Santo Yohanes, Rasul dan Penulis Injil

- 28 Desember: Pesta Kanak-kanak Suci, Martir

- 29 Desember atau Hari Minggu pertama setelah Hari Natal: Pesta Keluarga Kudus (Yesus, Maria, dan Yosef)

- 30-31 Desember: Perayaan Tahun Baru

- 1 Januari: Hari Raya Santa Maria Bunda Allah

Oktaf Natal mencerminkan Kepribadian Yesus Kristus:

- Yesus adalah Pembawa Sukacita bagi orang-orang yang percaya kepada-Nya

- Yesus adalah Pewarta Kabar Gembira untuk orang-orang yang mendengar-Nya

- Yesus adalah Benteng Terkuat bagi orang-orang yang akan diserang oleh orang-orang jahat di dunia ini

- Yesus adalah Sang Maha Kuasa yang memberkati semua keluarga yang percaya kepada-Nya 

Jangan lupa, pada Pesta Tahun Baru, untuk selalu memohon kepada Allah melalui pengantaraan Bunda Maria untuk selalu memberkati kita dalam perjalanan hidup kita di tahun yang baru. Jangan lupa untuk berdoa Salam Maria. ✝️
